General Needs

“We are incredibly grateful for the encouragement and support my family received from All Hands in Autism Foundation. As a single mom, dealing with my son’s sleep and emotional regulation issues was severely taxing. After speaking with the founder, Sabrina, she generously provided both my son and daughter with essential sensory items, including weighted blankets, special bedding, and a starry night astronaut. This support was life-changing: my son went from sleeping only a few hours to resting for several hours a night, which has relieved my stress and led to a welcome decrease in his challenging behaviors. Thank you, All Hands!!”

“All Hands in Autism Foundation has been a life-saver for my family. I had struggled for so long watching my daughter deal with sensory overload and self-harm. Knowing she needed specific tools but not having the money to buy them was a difficult pill to swallow. But after talking with Sabrina. We received a generous donation of a spin chair, weighted vest, and chewies. This has brought peace back into our home. The difference is truly night and day. Thank you, Sabrina, and the whole team for turning my hope into relief.”

“My journey changed a couple of years ago after a chance meeting with Sabrina at Walmart. At the time, I was in the middle of getting divorced and felt so lost. My son was being labeled a ‘problem child’ and was failing every class, with every diagnostic waitlist months long.Sabrina followed up within days and connected us with a clinic that got my son in for a diagnosis within a month. He was finally diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, and Auditory Processing Disorder.Since then, the support he has received has been transformative. With the right accommodations in place, my son is now thriving both in and out of school. Just last quarter, he was named Star Student of the Month! My family is eternally grateful for that initial connection that changed everything.”

“Ever since we were blessed to meet Sabrina she’s continued to reinvigorate our children’s interest in reading, writing and math throughout the summer. We greatly appreciate her, her family and organization. Even our children recognize the impact of her kind acts. We were not expecting, nor were we aware of how much of a blessing a complete stranger could be until we met Sabrina at Barnes & Noble. While we don’t know what prompted this connection. We are certainly grateful!
It has been a blessing in disguise as we did not know her contribution would be so crucial to our family this year. She was kind enough to purchase 42 books, six lego sets, kids STEM learning kits, grade level workbooks, and individual Bibles for each of our children. We hope she, the organization that she represents, continues to thrive as they have made a noticeable impact in our own lives as an entire family.”
Project Au-some Christmas 2024:
Last year, we made a significant impact on over 60 people through our inaugural Christmas Drive.
Our initiative provided complete holiday support to eight families—ensuring that all 35 children received a full Christmas.

“I am a single mom of two children with autism. Last year was the hardest of my life; I was out of work, expecting my third, and facing a Christmas I couldn’t afford to celebrate. I was awkward and difficult when I met the founder, Sabrina, but she looked past my struggles and saw my heart. She connected me with life-changing resources, securing diagnoses, establishing IEPs, and providing essential sensory products—not to mention the beautiful gifts for my children at Christmas. I’ve never received such hands-on support from a stranger. A year later, our lives have been fundamentally changed thanks to the All Hands in Autism Foundation. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart!”

“Last Christmas was the best our family has had in years. As our three daughters with autism grew, my husband and I had to scale back work, often leaving us barely making ends meet. After a friend told me about All Hands in Autism Foundation, I reached out and immediately received a personal call from the founder. She ensured we were added to the Christmas recipient list at the last minute. The girls had an amazing holiday! My husband and I were even touched by encouraging notes just for us, reminding us we are doing a great job. We are profoundly grateful for their support and look forward to volunteering this year to help other families experience the same joy.”

“Being sponsored by the All Hands In Autism Foundation was truly a blessing for me and my family. At the time, I was a newly single mother of four children, one of whom is diagnosed with ASD, trying to rebuild our lives after fleeing from a domestic violence situation. We were displaced, and I was not working, which left me deeply concerned about how I would be able to provide my children with even the simplest gifts for Christmas. When I received a call from Sabrina letting me know that she wanted to sponsor my family, I was overwhelmed with gratitude. It felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. In the middle of one of the most difficult seasons of my life, this act of generosity brought joy, relief, and hope to my children and me. I will forever be thankful to the All Hands In Autism Foundation for showing us love and support when we needed it most. Their kindness made our holiday season brighter and reminded us that we were not alone.”

“I’m Sarah, the founder Sabrina’s sister, and helping families secure much-needed resources has been an incredibly rewarding experience. During last year’s Christmas drive, I had the joyful task of fulfilling the children’s wish lists, ensuring each child received between three and five gifts. This project was deeply meaningful to me because it brought our family’s journey full circle: as children of a single mom, we were once the recipients of such holiday kindness. Now, having the honor of paying it forward alongside Sabrina is a feeling that cannot be matched.”

“Last year’s Christsmas was my first time volunteering with this company. Can I say that it was an absolute pleasure getting to be apart of the deliveries. Getting to see the faces of the families receiving the gifts made all the long nights wrapping presesnts worth it. From the parents weeping with joy and pressure being taken off their shoulders of having something for their children. So many families were blessed and got to see what community is really all about. I look forward to participating again this year.”
